Sara Mahjouri was born in 1980 in Tehran, Iran. Since her childhood, she had a lot of interest for drawing and illustration. Later, during her time at university, she pursued a degree in graphic design at Tehran university in Iran.
After her degree, Sara decided to further pursue her interests and become an art instructor. In 2003, she started working with renowned artist Rahim Navasi.
After working together for 5 years, Sara went on to establish her own painting studio and she has been teaching ever since. Currently, Sara works with oil as she considers it to be the most versatile. Her paintings include realism and impressionism, from which she has created a very unique technique. Her artwork was exposed to several group show in Iran and also she was one of the successful artists in Howe street gallery in Vancouver from 2013-2015.
