Steve Dynie

Multi Disciplinary Artist | Coquitlam

Meet the Artist

Steve Dynie is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Coquitlam, BC, where he lives with his wife and daughters. His artistic journey began with photography—sneaking his father’s film camera as a child—which ignited a lifelong passion for visual storytelling. His work balances vibrant complexity with meditative stillness, blending dynamic scenes with quiet, introspective moments.

Steve’s photography has earned numerous awards and international recognition, celebrated for its ability to capture intricate visual narratives and contemplative long-exposure imagery. His solo exhibitions have garnered wide acclaim, highlighting both his technical mastery and emotional depth.

In recent years, Steve has expanded into large-scale interactive mirror installations—shimmering structures that invite participation and spark wonder. These immersive pieces explore themes of reflection, imagination, and possibility, encouraging viewers to experience moments of self-awareness and awe.

Through both his camera lens and mirror art, Steve Dynie challenges audiences to see the world—and themselves—in new, transformative ways.
