Capulet Art Gallery Presents “Bewilder” — A Solo Exhibition by Chrissy Cheung
Opening Reception & Artist Talk: Saturday, November 8, 2025, 5–8 PM
Richmond, BC — Capulet Art Gallery proudly presents Bewilder, a solo exhibition of new abstract paintings by Chrissy K. Cheung, on view from November 8 to December 6, 2025. The Opening Reception will be held on Saturday, November 8 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, featuring an Artist Talk and Interview at 6:00 PM with Sigrid Gong, Art Advisor and Curator at Capulet Art.
About the Exhibition
In Bewilder, Vancouver-based painter Chrissy Cheung invites audiences to enter a vivid world of colour, rhythm, and emotion. Her new body of work hums with musicality and layered energy, reflecting both urban landscapes and interior states of mind.
Through gestural movement and custom-blended pigments, Cheung creates compositions that are both spontaneous and precise — revealing shifting intersections between sight, sound, and imagination. The exhibition spans two floors of Capulet Art Gallery and includes large-scale canvases such as Supine (acrylic on canvas, 42” × 60”), alongside smaller works that offer intimate glimpses into her abstract world.
“Abstraction allows me to express what can’t be contained by image or language,” says Cheung. “Each painting is a rhythm — a conversation between movement, emotion, and light.”
